Brittany Murphy's Husband & Mum to Clear the Rumors

Brittany Murphy's husband and mother are on a campaign to clear up rumors the Clueless star used drugs and suffered from anorexia. Although they do admit she was stressed over losing a movie role before her death.
"Let's set the record straight once and for all — Brittany was not taking any medication for her mood, for anorexia," her husband Simon Monjack said on the Today show Thursday. "It's utterly ridiculous that these rumors have perpetuated."
Brittany's mother Sharon Murphy told Matt Lauer, "She never did any drugs, ever." Sharon said Brittany was diagnosed with a heart murmur when she was a teenager. Simon added, "If she'd done cocaine she'd be dead in a second. She had mitral valve prolapse."
As for Brittany's gaunt figure, Simon said, "You just need to go to her favorite restaurant, Chateau Marmont, and speak to any waiter, who would tell you that she would happily order four plates of food and eat them all."
